Logo Design Ballarat. Leadsled Hotrod Hire

Zinglogo Ballarat designed this logo for a company that hirest classic cars and hotrods, featuring an illustration of a 1940 Lasalle Series 50 with custom orange paintjob and colour coded front bumper. From 1927 to 1940, General Motors’ Cadillac division produced and sold LaSalle luxury automobiles as a distinct brand.

In automotive lingo, a leadsled is a regular production car that has undergone extensive modifications, particularly seen in the 1949, 1950 or 1951 model years of Ford ‘Shoebox’ or Mercury Eight cars. The name ‘lead’ refers to the usage of lead as a body filler during early car repair while ‘sled’ comes from the lowered appearance of these vehicles on the road.
